The verdict? Super easy! I have made two batches so far.
Up next? I'm not sure, but here are a few recipes on the list:
Apricot-Pineapple Preserves
Pizza Sauce
Salsa
Vanilla-Pecan Sauce
Mixed Berry Jam
And I'm searching for something apple to make... any suggestions? Any favorite canning recipes I should add to the list? Kim... you're the canning expert in my book... what do you think I am missing on my list?! Well... aside from pickles. I'm not a pickles kind of girl. ;)
And before I forget to share... two of my layouts that I did for Flamingo Scraps were featured on Ideas for Scrapbookers last Saturday... go check it out!!
that looks really yummy. i need to try canning at some point...just will add it to my list!
ReplyDeleteYou are so funny. I was totally going to say pickles first. ;)
ReplyDeleteThere was a strawberry vanilla jam I'm hoping to try. And, tomatoes are a must. So easy and so much yummier than the ones you buy at the store.
My favorite thing to can is applesauce. We're coming up on the right time of year for it! So easy and delicious.
ReplyDeleteMy least favorite ever? Ketchup. Big mistake to waste the time, money and tomatoes on something that actually wasn't as good as what I usually buy at the store.
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I love love love love that you are doing this and LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE the lo you made to document it!!! Soooooooooooooooooooooooo GORGEOUS! :):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)
ReplyDeleteSalsa sounds especially fun. Oh! The pioneer woman has the best home made salsa recipe on her site too.
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to try canning!
