So I Married a Triathlete...

Long time, no posts....

Been busy living, got distracted from writing I suppose! For the last few months, been training to walk the Breast Cancer 3 Day in San Francisco the first weekend of September. Convinced Nancy and Mary Ann to walk with me, so we'll see how that goes. Today, Brian and I walked 15 miles -- from Monterey to Pebble Beach and back in 5 hours this morning. Boy are we tired! What have I gotten myself into?! It was a foggy morning, but the sun finally peeked through the fog. Now we are just hanging out watching Tour de France (I know, it's shocking right?!).....

Back with pictures later.....

Thanks for the comment and the introduction! It's true, you don't meet many other Cruickshanks here on the Central Coast, although apparently there was/is a Cruickshank family in SLO.

My branch, and myself as well, are originally from Southern California. My grandfather, Dick Cruickshank, was born in Glendale in the 1920s, and his own family of Cruickshanks had moved there from Omaha a few years earlier. We've traced them back to Cruickshanks who moved to Nebraska from Canada in the 1840s or 1850s but that's about all we know.

We don't have any Reids in our immediate family tree (at least not back until my great grandfather's generation). So it would be fascinating to know what our connection is.

My email is my (our?) last name at gmail.com if you want to talk further!
